Patricia Calvo MD, FACOG
Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, Dr. Patricia Calvo attended St. Mary’s University majoring in Biology and graduating with honors. She returned to the University of Missouri for Medical School where she also graduated with honors then proceeded to do her OB/GYN residency at St. Louis University.
Dr. Calvo has practiced in Fort Lauderdale since 1998 as a board certified Ob/Gyn. She worked at the Holy Cross Medical Ob/Gyn Group for 19 years until deciding to open a private practice that would fulfill her vision of specialized care for women. Dr. Calvo has published research on laparoscopic uterine artery occlusion and is trained in robotic surgery utilizing the da Vinci Surgical System. She is a certified steward of breastfeeding education, serving as a Baby Friendly Physician Champion. She has mentored and educated medical students attending the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine as a Clinical Professor and previously served as Vice Chairman for the department of OB/GYN at Holy Cross. From 2016-2018, she served on the Medical Staff Performance Improvement Committee, a peer review board. She also holds a certification in electronic fetal monitoring.

Dr. Calvo is by far the best doctor I have ever seen. She cared for me during my pregnancy, delivered my baby girl, and is still seeing me postpartum due to hypertension issues. I had a high risk pregnancy for multiple reasons, and Dr. Calvo always made sure to explain everything in great detail to me and made sure I received the best care possible. She’s very personable and makes you feel like more than just another patient. The office is beautiful and the staff is very friendly and welcoming.
