He received his medical degree from the Florida State University College of Medicine and later completed his residency at Mercer University\/Navicent Health in General Surgery. He then went on to complete his fellowship in Breast Surgical Oncology at a Society of Surgical Oncology and The American Society of Breast Surgeons approved program at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine\/Jackson Memorial Hospital. He serves as the Medical Director for Breast Care Center Miami. He is affiliated with a number of local hospital systems, including The University of Miami Health- Sylvester Cancer Center- Lennar Foundation, Baptist Hospital of Miami, South Miami Hospital, and Mercy Hospital.<\/p>\n<\/div>
Originally from Jamaica, Dr. Allen was raised in South Florida and he is passionate about serving his community. He continues to participate in clinical research and serves as a Voluntary Assistant Professor, Department of Surgery, University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Dr. Allen has presented his work at numerous national conferences and continues to participate in breast awareness community events. When considering what part of his profession he finds most rewarding, he shared, “The happiest part of my profession is forming a connection with my patients while helping them to navigate the complexities of breast diseases.” As a physician at one of the leading breast care centers in the state, the advice Dr. Allen wants his patients and prospective patients to know is that “this may be a long road, but we will be here to help you through it every step of the way.” Besides serving his patients, in his free time Dr. Allen enjoys spending time with his family and enjoys cooking.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
