She attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for her undergraduate education and Yale University School of Medicine for her medical education. She completed her internship and residency in Pediatrics at the Children\u2019s Hospital of Pittsburgh and was board certified in pediatrics in 1995.

Before moving to Jacksonville,\u00a0Dr.\u00a0Egan practiced for eight years with Allegheny Pediatrics in Pittsburgh,Pennsylvania.\u00a0She\u00a0also\u00a0served\u00a0as\u00a0an\u00a0Associate\u00a0Clinical\u00a0Professor\u00a0of\u00a0Pediatrics\u00a0for the University of Pittsburgh Medical\u00a0Center.

Dr. Egan currently serves on the boards of\u00a0Wolfson Children\u2019s Hospital,\u00a0the University of North Florida, and the Cummer Museum of Art and Gardens. In the past, she has served on the board of the Jacksonville Children\u2019s Commission, JCCI, and PACE Center for Girls in addition to non-profit boards outside of Jacksonville. She has also been on the Management Teams of the Jacksonville\u2019s Children: 1-2-3 Inquiry and Jacksonville\u2019s Mental Health Inquiry.<\/p>\n<\/div>
