Emilio J. Juncosa, MD

About the Practice

Quality Gynecology is a small, high-quality, and progressive gynecology-only practice with a long-standing reputation for excellent medical care and personalized service, and we focus meeting the gynecologic needs of the patient as a person. We have three practitioners, one MD and two Midwife Nurse Practitioners. We focus on personalized women’s care from adolescence to menopause and beyond. We practice up-to-date gynecology following the guidelines of the American College of OBGYN and the American Cancer Society. The office focuses on preventive care and well-woman care, but we also take care of a wide variety of gynecological issues including problems with menstruation or menstrual pain, PMS/PMDD heavy bleeding, and issues related to sexuality in adolescents and adults. We have extensive experience in the special gynecologic needs of the breast cancer survivor.

Dr. Juncosa is a Yale School of Medicine graduate with 30 plus years experience and Karen Bosia and María Claudia Zedán, our Nurse practitioners, bring another 30 plus year experience between them. Both Karen and María Claudia have vast experience as Labor and Delivery nurses and also as Nurse Practitioners and Midwives. We know all our patients by name, and we have had the same staff for over 15 years. We perform outpatient minimally-invasive procedures at the office and at the Memorial West Same Day Surgery Center. We are a feminist, pro-woman, forward-looking practice that welcomes all patients regardless of race or religion, and we welcome patients of all sexual orientations and gender identities, including transgender patients, and we deeply respect our patients’ preferences and beliefs.
