IVF is an investment, both emotionally and financially. So we wanted our lab to give patients the absolute best chances of getting pregnant. As we built our lab from the ground up, we incorporated every technology available to increase pregnancy rates. Our new lab opened in 2016 in Merrick Park in Coral Gables and we are extremely pleased with the success our patients have had.<\/p>\n

We are proud to be the only lab in Florida to offer the LifeAire system. This special filtration system is part of a dedicated air conditioning unit that circulates clean-room quality air through our procedure rooms and lab. In a multi-center study published in 2016*, this system was proven to increase ongoing pregnancy rates by 14.9% across all age groups and is only available in a select few labs in the country. This proprietary air filtration system took years to develop and eliminates nearly all contaminants, which are a known factor in pregnancy success rates for patients undergoing IVF.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

An analysis of 5319 IVF cycles with women of all ages showed a huge increase in success rates by using the LifeAire system. Ongoing pregnancy rates increased from 42.7% to 57.6%. And the pregnancy loss (miscarriage) rate decreased from 27.7% to 20.3%. You can read all of the LifeAire statistics here. LifeAire is a key piece of our meticulously planned lab, but we didn’t stop there. The lab also features special ceiling and floor materials that guard against contamination and a special epoxy paint with no VOCs. The pass through windows between the procedure room and the embryology lab are heated. This ensures that the temperature is well controlled from the moment the eggs are retrieved and passed to the lab, to the moment where they are transferred back to our patients.<\/p>\n

The lab has a powerful back up generator that is connected directly to natural gas lines in order to operate our entire lab indefinitely should there be a natural disaster or other power failure.<\/p>\n

Eggs and embryos are delicate and have no ability to protect themselves from their environment. So we have worked with the leading experts across the country to make our lab environment as controlled as possible. Together we feel we have created one of the cleanest, high tech labs in the country.<\/p>\n

Our laboratory team is led by Sangita Jindal, Ph.D, HCLD<\/strong>. She has more than 20 years of experience in reproductive biology. Dr. Jindal is highly sought after and also currently serves as lab director for several academic centers across the country.<\/p>\n<\/div>

She is an associate professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and is working with some of the most successful IVF programs in the country. She is past president of the Society for Reproductive Biologists & Technologists (SRBT). Dr. Jindal has published more than 40 peer reviewed journal articles and has also served as the principal investigator for several studies with private funding.<\/p>\n

In addition to IVF, the lab can handle all the related advanced fertility services a patient might need, including:<\/p>\n
