\u2022 Dr. Epstein obtained his undergraduate education at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan and his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan.<\/strong>
Dr. Epstein completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. He went on to complete a three-year subspecialty fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (also referred to as Urogynecology) in Louisville, Kentucky where he also obtained a master\u2019s degree in clinical research. He graduated with honors and was a Phi Kappa Phi and June Allyson Foundation Award recipient for his research regarding evaluation of the biomechanical properties of tissue in women with pelvic floor disorders.<\/p>\n

\u2022 He is a Fellow of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology with a subspecialty certification in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery.<\/strong>
He is one of very few individuals in the Northern Florida area who is dual board certified in this subspecialty. Dr. Epstein specializes in laparoscopic, vaginal, and conservative (non-surgical) management options for women with pelvic floor disorders such as urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and urinary\/ fecal dysfunction.<\/p>\n<\/div>

\u2022 Dr. Epstein moved to Jacksonville in 2008 and has been treating women with pelvic floor disorders in our community since then.<\/strong>
\nHe went on to open a subspecialty practice dedicated to treating women\u2019s pelvic floor disorders, First Coast Urogynecology. He has been recognized multiple times with Patient\u2019s Choice and Compassionate Doctor Recognition awards. Dr. Epstein firmly believes that every patient deserves an opportunity for an improved quality of life through education, state of the art testing methods, and up to date non-surgical and minimally invasive surgical treatment options.<\/p>\n

\u2022 He is married to Jill Dorsey, M.D., M.S., who is a pediatric gastroenterologist at Nemours Children\u2019s Clinic.<\/strong>
\nThey have a set of boy\/girl twins who keep them very busy. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, travel, and enjoying the wonderful beaches and community of Northern Florida.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
