ABOUT FPC<\/h1>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>Florida Perinatal Center, LLC. <\/strong>(FPC) offers the latest in prenatal testing, genetic counseling and management of both normal and high-risk pregnancies. Our perinatologists \u2013 doctors who specialize in high-risk pregnancies \u2013 are recognized for their expertise in managing the complications of pregnancy.<\/p>\nThere are 2 reasons for being referred to our practice:<\/p>\n
\n- Your obstetrician may decide that your pregnancy is high risk and refer you to FPC. During your visit, you will receive an in-depth consultation with one of our perinatologists to discuss your pregnancy needs and concerns.<\/li>\n
- Your obstetrician may refer you to FPC to evaluate the health of the fetus for a routine first trimester ultrasound and\/or anatomy scan. Our office does provide routine ultrasound and testing for low-risk patients.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Though you may have several appointments with your maternal-fetal medicine specialist during your pregnancy, your own obstetrician will continue to manage the pregnancy and deliver the baby. The maternal-fetal medicine specialist is usually not present at delivery but is available for consultation as needed.<\/p>\n
