With a strong background in mathematics and computers, Dr. Pearl entered the University of Kansas with the intent on pursuing a major in chemistry while fulfilling the basic requirements necessary to apply to medical school. It was there that he took his first formal class in the biological sciences and from that point on, he was compelled to take more and more courses in biology, focusing less on the physical sciences like chemistry and physics. He graduated from the university with honors and received a bachelor\u2019s degree in molecular biology. From there, he attended graduate school at St. Louis University where he studied reproductive physiology and received his master\u2019s degree in just 14 months.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>

Following these specialties, he entered an obstetrics and gynecology residency, which included studies at Washington University School of Medicine and St. John\u2019s Hospital in St. Louis, MO, as well as several community hospitals.<\/p>\n
