Our Founder<\/h1><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>Dr. Adrian Del Boca<\/a>, since his childhood, was very passionate about the study of science, with a special dedication to Medicine. While in High School, he was mentored by Emeritus Professor Dr. Emilio Otturi, a gynecologist and obstetrician who actually delivered him. Once in the university, he became a teaching assistant of Pharmacology and received his Medical Doctor Degree from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina.<\/p>\nIn search for the development of Basic Science research, he moved to the United States. During his years of research, he specialized in the area of Artificial Intelligence, where Dr. Del Boca developed original work on the real-time recognition of the electromyographic signal signature using Neural Networks. This subject became his masterwork, and by defending his thesis, he earned a Master Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Florida International University. His groundwork has been the stepping stone of reliable and natural control for artificial limbs for the amputee.<\/p>\n
In the same line, Dr. Del Boca started to apply his work to the early detection of preterm labor by evaluation of uterine electrical activity, when he decided to broad his horizon by embarking on the study of Obstetrics and Gynecology. For this purpose, he moved to New York, where he completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in The Brooklyn Hospital, a member of The Weil Medical College of Cornell University.<\/p>\n
Dr. Del Boca, on his return to Florida, founded Miami Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2002. He became Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is currently a Voluntary Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Florida International University, Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine.<\/p>\n
