American women have menopause at an average age of 51 years, with 95 percent having their final menstrual period between the ages of 45 and 55 years. Estrogen is available in many forms: oral, transdermal, topical gels and lotions, vaginal rings, and vaginal creams or suppositories.<\/p>\n
