Soft tissue sarcoma is a rare malignancy type that develops in the tissues that surround, connect, and support other bodily structures. They include blood vessels, fat, muscle, joint linings, tendons, and nerves.

There are around 50 subtypes of soft tissue cancer; some are more prevalent in the younger population, while the others are more likely to develop in adults.
