GYNECOLOGISTS IN PLANTATION, FL
Gynecology
Many women’s health conditions do not have symptoms but can be detected with a simple blood test or health screen. A pelvic exam is recommended once per year to check for signs of infection, disease, or cancer.
Dr. Grenitz, Dr. Hood, and physician assistant Adriana Herrera offer well-woman exams as routine, preventive care for women of all ages at Plantation Gyencology. For females over age 21, we will perform a Pap smear, STD screening, and breast exam during a wellness check.
For most women, these tests will confirm you are healthy and free of disease, but some women may have an abnormal test result. In these cases, further evaluation is needed to rule out any serious problems and provide the appropriate treatment to resolve or control the issue. Diagnostic ultrasound and/or biopsy may be needed.
During your wellness exam, we can also discuss your contraception needs. We offer various types of contraception, such as oral contraception (birth control pills) and intrauterine devices (IUDs) such as Mirena®. We offer comprehensive prenatal care, too.

MonaLisa Touch®
We also provide vaginal restoration with MonaLisa Touch®, a minimally invasive, FDA-approved laser therapy that revitalizes your vagina through the generation of collagen and elastin, while promoting the vascularization of the vaginal mucosa.
The procedure, which takes less than five minutes, is safe, virtually painless, and uses proven methods to combat vaginal dryness, itchiness, and pain during intercourse by tightening and lubricating the vaginal canal.
The typical course of treatment is three procedures done six weeks apart with an annual maintenance treatment thereafter. No anesthesia is required and there’s no downtime, pain, or side effects. Learn more about MonaLisa Touch.

“It’s a way for us to always remember him and how lucky we were to have such an outstanding and caring physician help ensure her safe arrival into this world. I plan to continue having Dr. Hood and his entire staff by our side for whatever God has planned for our family and am forever grateful for everything he has done for us!”
Sylvia M., patient
“When choosing a physician I found that the number one thing on my priority list was not the number of years of practice, where they went to school, or how many babies they had delivered; what mattered most to me was how they made me feel when I was in their care.”
