Dr. Simon Weiss

Simon Weiss was born in Peru where he completed high school. He obtained his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City. Dr. Weiss trained at Yale University in Connecticut in primary care medicine and at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He held the post of Chief resident in obstetrics and gynecology in 1994-5. He was selected as one of the privileged few to train in a fellowship in Laparoscopic surgery, at a time when laparoscopy was still not widely used in medicine. Over the years, Dr. Weiss continues to practice cutting edge medicine, applying the latest medical protocols and technological advances. Dr. Weiss benefited from training with some of the most renowned specialists in the world, including Denton A. Cooley M.D. in cardiovascular surgery, L. Russell Malinak M.D. in endometriosis, James M. Wheeler M.D. in laparoscopic surgery, Alan Kaplan M.D. in gynecologic oncology and Raymond H. Kauffman M.D. in diseases of the vulva and vagina. Dr. Weiss practices medicine by combining medical knowledge with common sense. Compassion and understanding for patients are an integral part of his character. During his years of practice in Florida, patients have benefited from his practice philosophy and have rewarded Dr. Weiss by referring family, friends and coworkers to his care. Dr. Weiss’s medical practice comprehends both routine and high risk obstetrics, as well as the full spectrum of gynecology. Over the years, he has become known as the specialist in endometriosis and chronic pelvic pain.
