<\/span><\/div><\/div><\/div>Ashley Maxam, DNP<\/strong><\/h2><\/div>Ashley (Ceithaml) Maxam is from Jacksonville\/Ponte Vedra Beach.\u00a0 <\/span>She is the daughter of our very own Jan Ely, ARNP, who retired from River City OBGYN in 2024, after 30 years!\u00a0 <\/span>Her father, Dr. Eric Ceithaml, was Chief of Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery at Wolfson Children’s Hospital and had more than 45 years in his field.<\/p>\nAshley received her love of medicine and academia from both her parents.\u00a0 <\/span>She attended Jacksonville University receiving her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2013, and her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in Family Medicine in 2021.\u00a0 <\/span>During her 8-year doctorate program, she worked as an RN at Baptist Medical Center, providing excellent care for postoperative oncology patients and various acute and chronic conditions on women\u2019s medical surgery\/oncology floor. \u00a0 <\/span>Ashley is certified by ANCC and AANP.<\/p>\nAshley\u2019s Capstone project for her doctorate was Body Image Distress and Post Mastectomy Women<\/i>.\u00a0 <\/span>Ashley and Jan are both breast cancer survivors, and this drives her passion for women\u2019s health.\u00a0 <\/span>Ashley grew up around this practice, as she was in middle school when her mother began working with Dr. Garcia, so it\u2019s a unique \u201cfull circle\u201d that brings her to River City OBGYN. \u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nAshley is married to Chris Maxam.\u00a0 <\/span>They stay busy working out, spending time with extended family, and keeping up with the sports of 2 their active teenagers.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\nRequest an Appointment<\/p><\/h2><\/div>
