Dr. Tamara Richards is a board certified Obgyn physician who comes to South Lake Obgyn<\/a> from Shreveport, LA where she has been on faculty as an attending physician since 2011. She is excited to transition into full time private practice and join in caring for women of all ages in Lake County.<\/p>\n

Dr. Tamara Richards was born and raised in Orlando and graduated from Dr. Philips High School. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Mississippi College and graduated medical school at University of Mississippi.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Upon completion of residency at LSU in Shreveport, Louisiana in 2011, Dr. Richards joined the LSU faculty where Dr. Tamara enjoyed teaching medical students, overseeing residents, and caring for patients. Her training and experience at a tertiary care facility has given her a broad base of experience for treating high risk obstetric patients and performing minimally invasive surgery.<\/p>\n

Dr. Tamara Richards prides herself on developing personal relationships with each patient. She believes that good patient care is founded on caring for the whole person \u2013 physically, mentally, and spiritually. She feels privileged to be able to walk through some of the happiest and hardest moments in the lives of both her patients and their families.<\/p>\n

Dr. Tamara Richards lives in Oakland with her husband, Brian, and their two daughters, Sophia and Lydia.
