Chanel Blanchard Armstrong, MSN, CNM, APRN

Chanel Blanchard Armstrong is a Certified Nurse Midwife and Advanced Practicing Registered Nurse, specializing in natural childbirth. Chanel is dedicated to providing evidence-based and holistic care for women throughout their care, whether it be prenatal, postnatal, or gynecological. She is passionate about empowering women to make informed decisions about their health through support and client education. Chanel’s favorite things about being a CNM is helping women become mothers and partnering with them to meet their health goals, for now and the future.

Chanel’s path to midwifery began with her mother’s health complications and was solidified by a women’s health rotation in Panama during her undergraduate studies. As an RN, she worked in labor and delivery and High Risk Antepartum/Postpartum. Prior to joining University Park OBGYN, she worked in a private OB/GYN practice in Trinity and in an accredited Tampa Bay Birth Center.

Chanel is originally from Ocala, Fl. She lived in the Tampa Bay area from 2013-2022 prior to relocating to Sarasota. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of South Florida and her Master of Science in Midwifery at Frontier Nursing University. She is certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board.

In her off time, Chanel enjoys spending time with her two fur babies, Sia and Quevo. She also enjoys working out, anything outdoors, and exploring new places!
