Carmen Perna — Practice Administrator
Carmen comes to us with 15 years experience in Medical Practice and Operations Management. Prior to joining our OBGYN practice, she worked in the Human Resources and staffing arena and truly enjoys building a great team. Originally from the Midwest, she has lived in the Sarasota area for 20+ years. Carmen enjoys spending time with her girls and reading.
Jamie Walker — Medical Assistant
Jamie joined the practice in the summer of 2014. Jamie graduated from the Sanford Brown Institute in 2005 with a diploma in Medical Assisting. Her prior medical experience was in Cardiology and Internal Medicine. She brings a great energy to work every day and loves meeting all of our patients.
Mary Torretta — BS, RDMS – Diagnostic Sonographer
As a diagnostic sonographer with University OBGYN, Mary values all aspects of women’s care from both gynecology and obstetrics. With an extensive background in her profession, she has witnessed the progression in the field of ultrasonography and how it has enhanced the patient-physician experience. Mary is passionate about her role, loves what she does every day, and enjoys bringing happiness to her patients’ days.
Nicole Wagner, RDMS Diagnostic Sonographer
Nicole was born and raised in New York and relocated to sunny Florida in 2014. Graduated Summa Cum Laude in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program at Merdian College in Sarasota. Very caring, patient and empathetic, she has a passion for women’s health care. Nicole found a love for ultrasound when she had her first son 7 years ago. When not working she enjoys spending off time with her two amazing sons on the boat, relaxing at the beach or going on adventures!
