Menopause is the time in your life when you naturally stop having menstrual periods and marks the end of your reproductive years. At Wellnest Health we understand the importance of properly navigating this stage of life and we recommend an annual wellness exam during the menopausal years and after. This exam may include a Pap smear, pelvic exam, breast exam and instructions on how to perform breast self-exams. In addition to an annual mammogram, bone density testing is recommended approximately every other year. During your wellness exam we will address issues including vaginal dryness, incontinence, urinary frequency and sexual dysfunction as well as any concerns you may have. If indicated, hormone replacement therapy may be discussed. We will also discuss healthy lifestyle choices including visiting your primary care provider for regular health screenings, taking calcium, exercising to prevent bone loss, and a healthy diet.<\/p>\n
