Winter Park Colon and Rectal Specialists, LLC is the medical practice of Jacqueline Levy Kaiser, M.D.. She is a board-certified Colon and Rectal Surgeon who has been in private practice in Winter Park, Florida since 1996. Almost twenty years ago, she decided to limit her practice exclusively to the areas of anal and rectal surgery and colonoscopy.
Dr Kaiser’s employees have been working with her for many years, some for more than 20 years. Everyone at the practice feels that our patients are like family. All care is one-on-one with Dr. Kaiser; there are no nurse practioners or physician assistants. She believes in taking the time to help patients understand their problems, in addition to treating them, and she emphasizes education along with treatment. She is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Central Florida and helps to teach medical students. Dr. Kaiser advises everyone to get a colonoscopy for colon cancer screening at age 45- 50, unfortunately, at this time we are not accepting new patients for colonoscopies. If you are having problems or if you have a family history of colon cancer or colon polyps, then you should get a colonoscopy even earlier. Colon cancer is one of the few types of cancer that can be diagnosed and treated while still in a precancerous stage, making colon cancer preventable. Many patients delay treatment of their anal and rectal problems because of fears about the office visit and examination. Dr Kaiser and her staff make the extra effort to allow patients to feel at ease in our office, so that problems can be effectively diagnosed and treated. We strive to make difficult problems and examinations as stress-free and comfortable as possible. Dr Kaiser also treats many patients who have external hemorrhoids that, while not dangerous, can be bothersome in appearance and cleanliness. Often, these can be removed with a simple office procedure. There are several other problems that she can treat quickly and effectively in the office. Our patients often tell us that they wish they had come in sooner! Unfortunately, as previously mentioned, we’re currently not accepting new colonoscopy patients.
She also treats large pilonidal cysts with a very effective surgical procedure called the Cleft Lift repair. This allows for the pilonidal wound to be closed at the time of the surgery, and this has a much faster healing time and quicker recovery compared to traditional open wound procedures. There are very few surgeons in Central Florida who perform this surgery.

OUR OFFICE
Our office is located in the Family Physicians Building on the corner of Goodrich Ave and Lakemont Ave, just south of Aloma Avenue. We are directly across from Winter Park Hospital on the Emergency Room side of the hospital. We are in a two-story brick building with white columns in the front. Patient parking is in the rear of the building, accessible via Goodrich Avenue. The building and office are ADA accessible.
