Thara Bhangu was born in England and moved to Florida as a child. She attended the University of Miami and graduated with a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Biology. Before becoming a Physician\u2019s Assistant, she held several research positions. Some of which included conducting Melanoma research for the University of Miami\u2019s Department of Dermatology and also researching cognitive and emergent literacy competencies in low-income minority children for the University of Miami Psychology Department. She subsequently obtained her Physician Assistant Degree from Miami-Dade College and then later completed her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Texas.<\/p>\n
Prior to joining Yavagal Urogynecology Thara gained experience in Urology managing acute and chronic urological conditions. Her transition to Urogynecology was motivated by her interest in women\u2019s health and working towards improving the quality of life for those women with pelvic floor disorders. She believes that educating patients on appropriate screening, providing treatment options for post menopausal changes and addressing these pelvic floor disorders are essential to achieving a life of optimal well being. She is a current and active member of the American Urogynecologic Society and the Association of Physician Assistants in Obstetrics & Gynecology.<\/p>\n<\/div>
