Dr. Yavagal was born and raised in India where she completed her medical degree and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1998. After a research fellowship at Harvard Medical School in 2000, she completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology from Loma Linda University school of Medicine, CA in 2004. She joined Albany medical center as a faculty physician for 3 years and then moved with her family to Miami to pursue a three-year fellowship in Female pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at University of Miami Miller school of Medicine\/Jackson Memorial Hospital.<\/p>\n
After spending 2 years as a full time faculty at the University of Miami as Assistant Professor, actively involved in clinical work and resident education, she pursued private practice. She has continued to be a voluntary faculty at FIU to continue her lifetime passion of being a part of medical education. She has been involved in many research projects, written book chapters and has been a recipient of several awards including the CREOG National Faculty award for teaching.<\/p>\n
Dr. Yavagal believes in raising the awareness of pelvic floor disorders among women, and in providing complete, personal, and compassionate care to women with pelvic dysfunction. She is one of the few female gynecologists in Miami-Dade county to be board-certified in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery, and is dedicated to providing comprehensive state of the art medical and surgical care to women with pelvic floor disorders.<\/p>\n<\/div>
