Dr. Mark McCormick

Mark McCormick, M.D. FACOG

Dr. McCormick has been an Obstetrician and Gynecologist in Boca Raton, Florida for over thirty years. He has practiced general Obstetrics and Gynecology with a strong interest in abnormal vaginal bleeding. He has done a large number of uterine ablative procedures for abnormal bleeding. This minor surgery is done as an outpatient and the patient is usually able to return to her normal activities the next day. This allows many women to avoid the much more invasive and painful abdominal hysterectomy surgery.

Dr. McCormick went to Emory University where he graduated Magna Cum Laud in chemistry. His medical training was at University of Miami School of Medicine and his residency was at Jackson Memorial Hospital’s prestigious Ob/Gyn program.

His practice has evolved over the years from traditional obstetrics and gynecology to now a practice of gynecology that includes an integrate approach, which addresses the diseases of aging. Besides the routine gynecologic problems that he treats, he also treats many of the hormone issues that women suffer from, both prior to and after menopause. These can include abnormal vaginal bleeding, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) with the associated acne and excessive hair growth, perimenopause fluctuation of hormones.

He is also certified in the treatment of menopausal symptoms with the use of BioIdentical hormone replacement. He is a strong proponent of the use of BioTe pellets for menopause. BioTE pellets are very small, custom compounded therapies for symptoms that stem from hormonal imbalances. This therapy keeps hormone levels consistent through the day and avoids rollercoaster-like effects from orally administered or topically administered hormones. The pellets contain hormones identical to the ones found in the human body. Studies have shown bio-identical hormones have fewer side effects than synthetic hormones.

However, he is not limited to pellet treatment. He prescribes a whole array of different bioidentical hormones replacements, specific to the patient needs. He treats both men and women for issues related to hormone deficiency.

Dr. McCormick is also certified in the use of peptides for age management. These are small chains of amino acids that serve as the body signaling molecules to hormones. They can mimic or replace the bodies peptides and diseases and promote health. They are safe and effective, highly selective, and potent.

Additionally, Dr. McCormick treats sexual dysfunction in both men and women. Besides hormone replacement for women, there are peptides and other natural substances that can help. He is also certified to perform the O-Shot! This is a plasma rich potent injection to improve orgasms.

For men, the first step is to evaluate testosterone levels and treat to optimal levels. Other methods that augment testosterone treatment for sexual dysfunction is Acoustic wave therapy, which has been popularized by Gainswave. He is also trained to perform the P-shot, which has had a high success rate. There are also peptide treatments which can be beneficial, in which Dr. McCormick is certified.
