All of our pediatricians are certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and are fellows of the American Academy of Pediatrics. They are highly skilled and experienced. Our nurse practitioners are board-certified and have received specialty training in pediatrics.

Our Taft Street (Pembroke Pines) office is open to our patients seven days a week, including Saturday and Sunday mornings. Our Hollywood office is open Monday through Saturday and the Chapel Trail office is open Monday through Friday. After office hours we have an excellent staff of caring, well-trained nurses that are available to answer any urgent questions. If necessary, the on-call physician will be contacted.

One of the advantages of a Children’s Medical Center is having a group of experienced Providers who can consult with each other about children with complex medical problems. This team approach is often utilized when caring for a sick child who presents to our office or has been admitted to the hospital.

We are affiliated with Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, Memorial Hospital West, and Memorial Hospital Miramar. If your child is admitted to the hospital, our pediatricians work closely with the hospitals throughout the hospitalization. We also work with an excellent team of specialists who are affiliated with JDCH if your child needs specialty care.

We always make every effort to see sick children the same day you call. For well visits and physicals, appointments can usually be scheduled within one to two weeks of your call.

From ocular photoscreening to advanced laboratory and radiology services, we offer the quality and convenience of state of the art technology. Results are available within minutes.

At each check-up, we discuss not only physical health but also safety, growth and development, nutrition, and social issues as well. We try to work with families, teachers, school nurses, psychologists, and other ancillary providers to help identify and treat the multitude of challenges facing school-age children.

Doctors Van Putten, Samuels, Gonzalez and Budowsky are the absolute best! I have a 5-year-old daughter who is particular about seeing a female doctor and gets frequent ear infections. They are always able to accommodate, assess and treat her as well as twin two year olds who can be difficult to manage. All of the physicians are incredibly nice, have plenty of patience, never rush you nor make you feel like whatever is happening is abnormal.
