Women’s Reproductive Health Treatments
Women’s reproductive system is a complex part of your health, and taking care of it is crucial for maintaining a regular, active lifestyle. At Doral Beach Gynecology, we offer a number of services that will help protect you from infections and injuries, treat STDs, and solve other reproductive system issues you may encounter.
Hysteroscopy surgery is a procedure in which a doctor examines the inside of the womb (uterus). The exam is accomplished using a narrow telescope with a light and camera at the end. It captures the images that the doctor and nurse look over to check the insides of your womb. And it could be performed in-office or in the hospital, based on your preference.
The doctor will make no cuts during your hysteroscopy, so no scars will be left on the skin. A hysteroscopy surgery is considered a minor procedure and won’t require staying in the hospital overnight.
Vaginal and Urine Infections
Dealing with vaginal and urine infections isn’t the most pleasant experience for a woman of any age. Stopping these issues on time is crucial if you don’t want to develop a recurring yeast infection.
A recurring yeast infection condition can cause severe discomfort to the vagina and the vulva, like itching, irritation, and discharge. Women who suffer from chronic yeast infections will be infected four or more times a year.
Schedule a visit with your gynecologist and let a specialist deal with the discomforts of a recurring yeast infection.
It’s important for women to know more about this procedure and if a pap smear during pregnancy is allowed. Pap Smear is a procedure used to diagnose cervical cancer in women. The test is performed by collecting cells from the woman’s lower end of the uterus, called the cervix.
If your doctor detects abnormal pap smear results, the test will be considered positive, but this doesn’t mean you have cervical cancer.
Abnormal pap smear results can require a few different courses of action. Let your medical specialist advise you on how to proceed and resolve the issue.
It’s also important to note that a pap smear during pregnancy is completely safe for you and the baby.
Treatment of STDs
If your current symptoms suggest you may be suffering from a sexually transmitted disease, the best next step is to undergo an STD test.
STD symptoms vary based on the disease, but the itching, swelling, bleeding, and similar difficulties are often a part of the issue. Let your doctor perform an STD test on time, and don’t let the STD symptoms get too severe.
Breast Pain and Breast Masses
Consider seeing a doctor if you’re feeling breast pain or suffering from hypoechoic breast masses. Irregular shapes in sonograms are suspicious and should be treated accordingly. Visit Doral Beach Gynecology and let our specialists help you with unwanted hypoechoic breast masses.
Loop electrosurgical excision procedure, also known as LEEP, is used to remove cells and tissue from a woman’s lower genital tract (the cervix and vagina). This is done with the help of a wire loop heated by an electric current.
LEEP procedure is performed to help diagnose and treat cancerous conditions. If you have suspicions about potential lower genital tract conditions, visit Doral Beach Gynecology and let experts give their opinion.
If needed, you’ll be scheduled for a LEEP procedure at your earliest convenience.
