Coming from “La Isla del Encanto” Puerto Rico to our “Sunshine State” Florida, we are excited to introduce and welcome Dr. Franklin B. Colón-Torres MD, to our Miami Global OB/GYN family!
Education and Experience
Dr. Colón-Torres earned his medical degree from Ponce Health Sciences University in Ponce, Puerto Rico in June 2016, and completed his 4 years of Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at University District Hospital, University of Puerto Rico. While there, he was honored with The Arnold P. Gold Foundation Gold Humanism Honor Society, and at the end of his residency, he was selected for the Gold Humanism award.
Dr. Colón-Torres is dedicated to providing the most excellent OB/GYN care to women at every stage of life. He is a highly qualified physician specializing in Obstetrics, Gynecology, and minimally invasive surgeries, among the use of the most advanced technology and procedures.
He joined our practice on October 1st of 2020, immediately following his training. In addition to his fluent English, Dr. Colón-Torres also speaks Spanish as his native language.
Besides his continuing education and research, in his free time, Dr. Colón-Torres enjoys spending time with his family, sunny days at the beach, long drives, and motorsports. He also enjoys trying new recipes, and considers himself an amateur chef.
