Jennifer Alderman MD

Dr. Jennifer Alderman was born in Bradenton, Florida.  She moved to Gainesville to attend the University of Florida in the Honors program. At the end of her sophomore year of undergraduate work, she was admitted to the University of Florida College of Medicine through the Junior Honors Medical Program and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Florida after her first year of medical school. During medical school she had the distinction of being accepted into Alpha Omega Alpha honor society in her third year.  During residency, she published several scientific papers related to abnormal Pap smears, infertility and gynecologic surgery. In her final year of residency, she was selected Resident of the Year. After completing her residency at the University of Florida in Obstetrics and Gynecology, she joined Dr. Ross and their mentor, Dr. Wally McLean, in private practice. She and Dr. Ross practiced general obstetrics and gynecology until 2005 when they discontinued the obstetrics portion of the practice to focus on gynecology and gynecologic surgery. Her favorite parts of her job are:  the lifelong continuity of patient care with the ability to help women navigate through all life’s different phases and being in the OR.   

She was married in 2005. Her husband is a real estate broker in Gainesville and they have 2 fabulous children, a dog and 2 cats. She enjoys traveling, new adventures, nature, family and quiet time with a good book.
