Teresa Mendez, APRN
Teresa Mendez is an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN). Since 2016, Teresa has practiced as a women’s health nurse practitioner (WHNP) in Lake County, where she concentrates on obstetrics and gynecology care. She focuses on providing quality healthcare for women through all states of life, from adolescence to childbearing and menopause. Her belief is that every stage of life and every person have unique needs and characteristics, and she enjoys listening, learning and focusing on the specific needs and concerns of each patient. Teresa earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Ohio University in Athens. She completed her master’s degree in nursing with a specialty as a women’s health practitioner at the University of South Alabama in Mobile. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Teresa worked for many years as a registered nurse and has experience in mother/baby care, postpartum, surgery, recovery room, neurology and outpatient surgical services. Board certified by the National Certification Corporation as a women’s health nurse practitioner, she is fluent in both English and Spanish. When she isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her three children, Evie, Lily and Nolan, visiting Disney, watching movies, and spending time outside.
