Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy
Try not to take any medications during the first 12 weeks of your pregnancy, unless recommended for a specific condition.
Take prenatal vitamins daily, but do not take them first thing in the morning on an empty stomach.
Reduce your intake of caffeinated drinks to two servings per day (including coffee, teas, and colas with caffeine).
Avoid alcohol. There is no amount that is considered safe.
Call the triage nurse or provider on call for nausea/vomiting if nothing stays in your stomach for greater than 48 hours after following the information sheet’s recommendations.
If you develop a temperature of 100.4° or greater, take extra-strength Tylenol (two pills every three to four hours) to keep your temperature under 100.4°, or call the doctor.
Be sure to visit our FAQ page for a list of medications that are safe during pregnancy, guidelines for eating fish and going to the dentist, and what to do in case of a hurricane.

From taking extra precautionary measures in the office, to implementing Telemedicine, we are delivering service with a smile.

We are meeting or exceeding all CDC recommendations including significantly increasing disinfecting protocols to ensure sanitation of exam rooms after every visit, along with regular sanitation of other areas. We are also limiting use of our waiting room by allowing you to register and check in electronically.

Patients receive a text with a link to confirm their appointment and begin the registration process. Instead of filling out forms, you can answer our history questions and update your personal information from your cell phone. Then, when you arrive at the office, you can let us know from our car. We will then call you when we are ready for you to come into the office.

  • Patients and providers are wearing masks in the office
  • We ask that you not bring anyone with you to your visit unless necessary
  • Significant others are invited to attend Obstetrical Ultrasounds
  • They then return to the car and participate in the rest of the visit by phone call or face-time.

“I have been a patient of Dr. Mark Grenitz since I was 19 years old. I have evolved through the years and shared many of life’s precious moments with Dr. Grenitz: my college graduation, preparing for marriage, the birth of my son and now, as a 45-year old, the need for a hysterectomy to best attend to my health.”

“Until recently, my appointments have been standard practice and jovial. Yet, this past year I developed symptoms and a condition which required immediate medical intervention. This was an intensely stressful experience, an experience I would not have trusted to any other than to Dr. Grenitz and his amazing staff.”

“Dr. Hood carries a smile on his face and his caring attitude becomes very apparent as soon as you meet him. My husband and I had the honor of having him take care of us throughout our pregnancy with our daughter, and after seeing how much of an impact he had on our entire experience, we chose to use his daughter’s name as our daughter’s middle name.”

“I am honored to give some words about Dr. Anthony Hood and his practice. I started seeing Dr. Hood in 2011. Stefanie Barry, his office manager, is a very good friend of mine and was familiar with all of the medical issues that I was having. She referred me to see him and it was the best decision I ever made.”
