After Hour Calls

For routine questions, call (305) 275-1700 during our office hours. For concerns after the office has closed, we are available to help you with your medical concerns. We thank you in advance for reserving after hour phone calls for urgent medical problems only.

Late/Missed Appointment Policy

We appreciate a 24 hour notice on cancellations. We will try to accommodate any sick patient who arrives late with the next available open appointment. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late for a well check-up, you may be asked to reschedule.

Payment Policy

Please be prepared to present your insurance card and Identification Card at every visit. Be aware of your insurance policy benefits and limitations. Make sure your insurance is current and active before your arrival. If we cannot verify coverage or there are services rendered that are not covered by your policy, it is your responsibility to pay in full at the time of the visit. All insurance co-payments and deductibles must be paid at the time of service. For your convenience we accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Checks, and Cash

Prescription Requests

Prescriptions and refills for established patients are routinely issued during our regular office hours. You can make your request by calling our office at (305)275-1700. No refills are issued during the evenings, weekends, or holidays, as the doctors do not have access to your medical records during those times. It is helpful to anticipate your refill needs to avoid an interruption in your medication therapy. Certain chronic and recurrent conditions may require a visit for reevaluation before a refill is provided. We do not call in or refill antibiotics or oral steroids without having seen the patient first.

Referral Policy

Many insurance companies require authorization through your pediatrician before seeing a specialist. This process can take up to 5 business days to complete. If your pediatrician believes your child should see a specialist, call the specialist, confirm the doctor is on your insurance plan, and make an appointment. Call our office back with the name of the specialist, the appointment date, and time. Allow 3-5 business days for the completion of your referral. We also encourage you to use the patient portal to request your referral.

Vaccination Policy

We firmly believe in the effectiveness of vaccines to prevent serious illnesses and save lives. We also firmly believe in the safety of vaccines. All physicians and staff provide vaccines on schedule to our own children. Our office follows the vaccine schedule outlined by the Centers for Disease Control and the American Academy of Pediatrics which has been scientifically tested for safety and efficacy.

Walk-in Policy

We see all patients by appointments and offer same day appointment scheduling. Unless deemed urgent, patients who arrive without an appointment will be given the next available open appointment. Walk-in patients are discouraged and will experience significantly longer wait times than those patients who have scheduled their appointments in advance.
