Minimally Invasive Gynecological Surgeon

Dr. Daniel Gomez is a minimally invasive gynecologic surgeon/ OBGYN and Affiliate Clinical Assistant Professor of OBGYN at Nova Southeastern University Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Allopathic Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. A native Texan, he completed his undergraduate degree at The University of Texas at El Paso.
He received his medical degree from Ponce School of Medicine and Health Sciences followed by completion of his OBGYN residency training at Lehigh Valley Health Network in Allentown, Pennsylvania where he served as Administrative Chief Resident. He also received his MBA in Healthcare Administration from the Carey Business School at Johns Hopkins University. Previously Dr. Gomez served as Assistant Professor of OBGYN at USF Health Morsani College of Medicine in Tampa, FL, and subsequently relocated to South Florida in 2017 where he was Chief of the Department of OBGYN at Holy Cross Health from 2020-2023. Dr. Gomez has also served as the Associate Program Director for the OBGYN Residency program at HCA Florida Northwest Hospital, is currently an Editorial Board member for the Journal of Gynecologic Surgery, and is a board member of the Broward County Medical Association.
Dr. Gomez is board-certified in OBGYN and Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery by the American Board of OBGYN. Dr. Gomez is a diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology, a Fellow of both the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Gomez’s focus includes medical education, innovation in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery techniques and improving access to evidence-based prenatal care. He is a passionate Women’s Health advocate and believes in a patient-centered, individualized approach to every patient he meets. Dr. Gomez spends his free time snorkeling and enjoying the beach with his young children as they also root against the Dallas Cowboys.
