Dr. Arcelin graduated from Tufts University with a double major in biology and international relations in 1989. In 1993, he graduated from the Georgetown University School of Medicine. He continued his education with a four year residency training program in obstetrics & gynecology at the University of Florida Health Science Center. He was Chief Resident in his final year and he obtained his board certification in 1999. He has been in private practice since 1997. His area of interest has been in advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic gynecologic techniques, minimally invasive surgery, including the use of the da Vinci Robotic Surgery System. Habla Español.
Dr. Gostal Arcelin is one of the few Palm Beach surgeons certified to perform da Vinci single” incision robotic surgery using a single tiny, 1-2 cm incision at the umbilicus. This allows for a greater likelihood of a fast recovery and excellent clinical outcomes.
He was the chairman of the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at West Boca Medical Center (2012-2014). Dr. Arcelin also serves as an Affiliate Assistant Professor of of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine at Florida Atlantic University.
