Pelvic Prolapse Treatment
in Boca Raton & Boynton, FL
Pelvic prolapse is a condition in which the pelvic organs, such as the uterus, bladder, or rectum, drop down and bulge into the vaginal area. This can occur due to weakened or stretched pelvic muscles, which can be caused by pregnancy, childbirth, menopause, or a history of pelvic surgery.
Symptoms of pelvic prolapse can vary depending on the specific type of prolapse and may include pelvic pressure or discomfort, a feeling of fullness or bulging in the vagina, incontinence, and difficulty having bowel movements.
It’s important to note that pelvic prolapse is common, especially so after giving birth, but it is not something to be ignored or left untreated. If you’re experiencing symptoms of pelvic prolapse, don’t hesitate to consult us at Women’s Health Partners to discuss your treatment options and create a plan that works best for you.

Managing Pelvic Prolapse
Pelvic prolapse treatment depends on the severity of the condition and can include the following:
- Lifestyle changes
- Pelvic floor physical therapy
- Pessary devices (a removable ring-like device that can be inserted into the vagina to hold the prolapsed organ in place)
In more severe cases, surgery may be necessary to repair or remove the prolapsed organ.
A prolapsed uterus specifically occurs when the uterus falls down and into the vaginal canal. This can happen due to a weakened pelvic floor, commonly caused by pregnancy, childbirth, or menopause. Treatment for a prolapsed uterus can include pelvic floor exercises, a pessary device, or surgery. In severe cases, a hysterectomy (removal of the uterus) may be recommended.

Dr. Ciaccio is one of the best doctors I have ever met. She has been so attentive and supportive throughout my entire pregnancy. I was diagnosed with COVID at 32 weeks pregnant. We set up a telehealth appt and she immediately contacted my perinatologist to Collaborate with him on a plan of care. She was accessible to me daily. I could not have gotten through the nightmare of COVID during pregnancy without her support.
Whenever I called the on call doctor they always responded immediately. They were all so kind and helpful at all hours of the night and day. I am so thankful I found Women’s Health Partner’s!!

If you are pregnant and looking for the best care, you found the right place. I saw a few doctors from the Women’s Health Partner office in Boca, and they were all amazing. Most important is that when the labor time came, Dr. Newman and his team were there for me. They were the most caring and experienced doctors you can ask for. Dr. Ciaccio delivered my baby. If I have to do it again I wouldn’t excitate to be with them. I can go on and on on how much I’m thankful for their service. I am also grateful for the receptionist, specially Heidi, she is wonderful.
