Dr. Reynald Pouliot is a board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist has been practicing obstetrics for more than three decades at the same location in quaint Lauderdale-by-the-Sea. Dr. Pouliot has a special interest in natural childbirth because he strongly believes that this form of childbirth allows bonding to take place in the first golden hour of the infant’s life.
Originally from Quebec City, Canada, French is Dr. Pouliot’s maternal language. He received his medical degree at Laval University in Quebec where he later completed his residency in general surgery. After that, Dr. Pouliot went on to complete his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Toronto University.
Dr. Pouliot is actively involved in keeping physician leadership and patient care at the center of changes needed in the American healthcare system with a duality unique in the world, combining private and public involvement. He is affiliated with Broward General Medical Center, Chris Evert Children’s Hospital, Holy Cross Hospital and Imperial Point Medical Center.
Dr. Pouliot is the proud “papa” of three granddaughters and an avid reader of ancient civilizations and psychology. When he is not seeing patients, he enjoys handy work, decorating, and renovating. His travels have involved philanthropic projects in the fascinating Zona Sur of Costa Rica, boating in the Keys and Sierpe, Costa Rica, hiking in the rainforest, and air streaming in our national parks.
