The Pediatric Endocrine and Metabolic Center of Florida is a state-of-the-art facility, treating children and adolescents with endocrine and metabolic conditions. We are committed to providing the best possible care for all children with health services that are progressive and appropriate, and are continuously enriching and expanding services to meet the growing needs of our patients.
Our Philosophy
At the Pediatric Endocrine and Metabolic Center of Florida, our philosophy is to improve the health and well-being of children through excellence in family-centered care, advocacy, and education. We provide compassionate, personalized care in a way that is child-friendly, in an environment created just for children, to reduce any anxiety they may have.
We understand that they are not little adults, and our team is driven by the science around the physiology of children. We want to make a difference in the lives of children and their families by empowering families with the right information, supporting families, and building a long-lasting relationship with patients.
Our Mission
Dr. Miladys Palau-Collazo and Dr. Monica Martinez-Rubio are passionate about taking care of the well-being of children and providing the parents with a thorough diagnosis and treatment plan. We believe that every patient deserves attentive individualized care, that all parents should feel heard, and families are educated on the conditions and treatment options.
Education and Guidance
The care of patients with metabolic disorders can be complex, and frustrating for our families. We are dedicated to creating educational programs for your child and family, that will teach you how to monitor your child’s condition, maintain an appropriate diet, know when to call for help, and understand what to do for your child in times of illness or in case of an emergency.
