We firmly believe in the effectiveness and safety of our vaccines. The recommended vaccines have been proven to prevent serious and deadly diseases. We follow the recommended vaccine schedule provided by the Centers for Disease Control and The American Academy of Pediatrics. The recommended vaccines and their schedule are the results of many years of scientific studies and data gathered on millions of children by thousands of our brightest scientists and physicians. We are more than willing to discuss and answer all your questions regarding immunizations. Ultimately, as medical professionals, we strongly believe that immunizing children on schedule with the currently available vaccines is absolutely in the child’s best interest and the right thing to do. If you plan to not vaccinate your child, we ask that you find another practice who may share your philosophy. Please recognize that by not vaccinating, you are putting your child and others at unnecessary risk of life-threatening illnesses and disability.

Please be prepared to present your insurance card and Identification Card at every visit. Be aware of your insurance policy benefits and limitations. Make sure your insurance is current and active before your arrival. If we cannot verify coverage or there are services rendered that are not covered by your policy, it is your responsibility to pay in full at the time of the visit. All insurance co-payments and deductibles must be paid at the time of service. For your convenience we accept Visa, MasterCard, Debit, Checks, and Cash.

We appreciate a 24 hour notice on cancellations. We will try to accommodate any sick patient who arrives late with the next available open appointment. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late for a well check-up, you may be asked to reschedule.

We see all patients by appointments and offer same day appointment scheduling. Unless deemed urgent, patients who arrive without an appointment will be given the next available open appointment. Saturday morning emergency appointments will be scheduled by the on-call physician.

For urgent medical matters after office hours, your call will be directed to an answering service which will notify the physician on call. If your call is not returned by the physician within the hour, please call the answering service again. We thank you in advance for reserving after hour phone calls for urgent medical problems only.

Prescription refill requests should be emailed or phoned in during regular office hours. Provide all pertinent information including the patient’s name, date of birth, medication name, dose, pharmacy name, pharmacy address and phone number. Allow up to 3 business days for us to prepare the prescription. Certain chronic and recurrent conditions may require a visit for reevaluation before a refill is provided. We do not call in or refill antibiotics or oral steroids without having seen the patient first.

I’ve been bringing my kids for years to see Dr. Taboas and her team. They all explain everything in full detail, have a lovely staff, and always accommodate to see your sick child, even they are busy. I don’t take my kids anywhere else.
