Dr. Garcia received both his undergraduate degree and medical degree from Vanderbilt University, where he played football and baseball in the SEC. He completed his residency in OB/GYN at the University of Alabama (Birmingham, AL). He has been in private practice since 1983.
Among his special interests and skills are gynecological endocrinology, infertility, and pelvic prolapse, and he is recognized as one of the best high-risk OB/GYNs in the greater Jacksonville area. Dr. Garcia has delivered over 12,000 newborns and remains committed to staying on top of advancements in surgical procedures, such as vaginal rejuvenation. He is the founder of FamWell MD.
Dr. Garcia and his wife, Dianne, have four children and nine grandchildren. Outside of work, the family enjoys anything outdoors with an emphasis on physical activity and fitness. He is a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church.

I love the staff of river city. My whole pregnancy went smoothly with these great people. Kendra Gillespie is a gem of a person, she treated me so well with all the complications I had. The sonography lady gave a detailed explanation of the baby parts. I loved both of them…On delivery day Gillespie took utmost care of me even when it’s 10:30 pm in the night and nurses in Baptist helped me for safe delivery. I would recommend this place for people who are expecting babies❤️

I took my elderly neighbor to this office, they were all kind to her and treated her kindly. They were amazing and work with you to make sure your appointment time works for you a well as them and they don’t leave you sitting there like many doctors office’s do. I will definitely recommend them during these unsettling times.
