Dr. Leonardo Catalano-Vazquez, MD, FACOG, FACS, is a bilingual English- and Spanish-speaking board-certified OBGYN at Sawgrass Women’s Center. He is also board certified in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery and Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology.

Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Dr. Catalano-Vazquez completed his medical education at Ponce School of Medicine and his surgical training in San Juan, Puerto Rico, before beginning his medical practice in Florida in 2013. He also serves as a proctor and trainer in robotic surgery.

Dr. Catalano-Vazquez specializes in minimally invasive and robotic surgery, including the medical and surgical management of severe endometriosis. He has advanced expertise in deep endometriosis resection, pelvic floor reconstruction, and the treatment of urinary incontinence.

His surgical focus includes complex minimally invasive procedures, such as deep nerve-sparing resections, ureteral stent placement and management, appendectomy in severe endometriosis cases, and pelvic reconstruction surgery, including vaginal sacrospinous suspension and abdominal sacrocolposuspension/sacrocolpopexy.

Through his dedication to surgical excellence and patient-centered care, Dr. Catalano-Vazquez continues to advance women’s health across South Florida, helping patients achieve lasting relief and renewed quality of life.
