Yissell Castro, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who graduated from Chamberlain University’s Family Nurse Practitioner Program in 2025. With nearly a decade of experience in reproductive medicine, Yissell brings extensive clinical expertise, leadership, and a deep commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered fertility care.
Yissell has been a dedicated member of the Conceptions Florida team for over nine years. She began her career working closely alongside Dr. Armando Hernandez-Rey as his primary nurse, where she gained invaluable experience in fertility treatment, patient education, and care coordination. As her career progressed, she expanded her clinical expertise by assisting in the operating room with egg retrievals and embryo transfers, developing a comprehensive understanding of every stage of the IVF process.
Throughout her tenure at Conceptions Florida, Yissell has served in several key roles, including IVF Nurse, Third-Party Reproduction Coordinator, and IVF Coordinator, where she successfully led and mentored a team of IVF nurses while ensuring exceptional patient care and operational excellence. Her diverse experience across multiple departments has provided her with a well-rounded perspective on fertility treatment and patient support.
In her role as Clinical Manager, Yissell worked collaboratively with all clinical departments to enhance workflows, support multidisciplinary teams, and ensure that every patient received a safe, seamless, and personalized experience throughout their fertility journey. Her leadership, dedication to quality care, and passion for improving patient experience have made her an integral part of the Conceptions Florida team.
Now serving as a Family Nurse Practitioner, Yissell combines her years of hands-on fertility experience with advanced clinical training to provide individualized, evidence-based care to patients pursuing their dream of parenthood. She is passionate about educating and empowering her patients, building meaningful relationships, and guiding them with empathy and expertise through every step of their fertility journey.
