Birth Control Services Provider

For people who don’t plan on having children in the near future, or at all, our team offers education and application of different contraceptive methods like birth control pills and injections, oral contraceptives and IUDs, as well as the possibility of surgical sterilization.

Services we offer include:

The birth control shot or Depo Provera is one of the possible ways of preventing unplanned pregnancies. It is a shot of hormone progestin and it should be administered every three months for effectiveness.

If the woman gets the birth control shot, on time, every three months, the chances of getting pregnant are very low, less than 1 percent. Of course, the shot doesn’t prevent sexually transmitted diseases, so proper protection from them is a must at all times.

Depo Provera is a safe contraceptive method, however, certain side effects may appear. They include headaches, nausea, tender breasts, irregular periods, weight gain, and others. It’s best that you consult your gynecologist before opting for the contraceptive injection.

Intrauterine devices are put inside a woman’s uterus to help prevent pregnancies with high effectiveness for up to 12 years. There are numerous brands, but the most popular include Mirena, Paragard, Liletta, Skyla, and Kyleena. Usually, they are either hormonal (Mirena, Liletta, Skyla, and Kyleena) or copper (Paragard).

IUDs work to change the way sperm gets to an egg – it basically prevents that from happening, making the conception impossible. Hormonal IUDs can prevent conception with the help of progestin, while the copper in copper IUDs does the same. They last for a few years but are not permanent.

If you are planning on having an IUD put in, make sure to talk to your health care provider about the advantages and disadvantages of this type of contraceptive method. Your doctor will tell you if this is the best thing for you or suggest a different contraceptive.

Monthly Nuvaring is a birth control method in the shape of a small ring that helps prevent pregnancy in women. The woman can place it on her own at home, take it out after three weeks, and after a week put in a new one. It’s easy to use and as effective as a birth control pill.

Although this sounds easy, every woman should consult her doctor before deciding about what contraceptive method to use. Just like with any other method, there are certain risks of Nuvaring you should be aware of and your doctor will make sure to run all the tests with the aim of finding the best option for you.

Birth control pills are another method of contraception in the form of medications used for preventing pregnancies for years effectively. They usually contain dosages of hormones estrogen and progestin or only progestin. Oral contraceptives are 92% effective, but this can be increased to 99% if the pill is taken properly and diligently.

Every woman who is using this contraceptive method should make sure to take it every day at the same time to maximize its effectiveness. For further information about your oral contraceptive options, contact us today and we will provide you with a detailed explanation and help you opt for the best contraceptive method.

Tubal ligation is one of the most common surgical sterilization options for women. It involves cutting out, blocking or tying the fallopian tubes for permanently preventing pregnancy in women. It can be done at any time for women who don’t want to have any more children, but once it is done it is hard and not recommended to reverse it. There is no need for other contraceptive methods after tubal ligation, but the protection of sexually transmitted diseases should still be considered.

You should undergo a serious examination before deciding to opt for this method. Your doctor should provide you with all the risks that come along with tubal ligation and make sure you are fully aware of the whole process.

Nexplanon is a contraceptive implant and a long-lasting way of birth control. It’s a piece of plastic that goes into the woman’s arm and helps prevent pregnancy. It is 99% effective and can last up to 3 years which is why women also opt for this birth control method.

Since it is reversible and can easily be detected with the help of an X-ray, they are a good option but are not suitable for all women. Before you decide to use Nexplanon as your contraceptive method, make sure to consult a specialist on the matter and inform yourself about possible risks and side effects.

Xulane is a prescriptive contraceptive patch that helps with preventing pregnancy in women that weigh less than 198 pounds (90 kilograms). It should be applied on the same day every week, with week four being without a patch. It’s easier than the birth control pill, with the effectiveness of around 91 to 99%, but you are not protected against sexually transmitted diseases.

Xulane works like all other contraceptive methods with the help of hormones but is not recommended to all women. All those who would like to start using a contraceptive patch, a doctor should perform all the necessary examinations and tests before telling you it’s safe to use Xulane as your birth control method.
