Maricarmen Dionisio Santos was born and raised in Puerto Rico by Dominican parents. She knew she wanted to become a pediatrician since third-grade Career Day. She always loved to play doctor with her siblings and dolls. She completed her undergraduate studies in Biology at the Universidad de Puerto Rico: Rio Piedras. Then pursued medicine at Ponce Health Sciences University. Later, moved to Miami to complete her residency in Pediatrics at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. What she loves most about General Pediatrics is the lifelong connection that she can form with her patients and families. She loves to ask about what are the plans for the holidays and what is the theme for the upcoming birthday party. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with loved ones, taking care of her plants, dancing, and going to the beach!
