Dr. Michael Finer
Dr. Michael Finer was born and raised in Syracuse, N.Y. He attended college at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, majoring in Psychology, and then returned to his home town for medical school at the SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse. He did his Pediatric Internship and Residency at The Women and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo and then completed one year of fellowship training at Yale New Haven Hospital in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology. Following that year, Dr. Finer joined Pediatric Professional Associates where he has been ever since. He is Board Certified and a Fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics, and maintains membership in the AOA Medical Honor Society.
Dr. Finer currently serves on the Pediatric Department Advisory Committee of Baptist Hospital.
Dr. Finer is married, has 2 daughters, and 4 grandchildren. When not working he loves spending time with his family and enjoys outdoor activities such as tennis and swimming. He also enjoys keeping up with the latest movies.
Dr. Finer is very kind and patient. I appreciate that he speaks to my children in the same way he speaks to adults. It helps them to trust him.
