Well-Child Visits

To keep an eye on and maintain your child’s health, it’s important to schedule regular visits with your pediatrician for the first two years of his or her life, when your child is growing and developing so quickly. Once your child is three years old, checkups are recommended once a year.

During a well-child visit at Westchester Pediatrics in Miami, Florida, our board-certified pediatricians will evaluate the mental, physical, behavioral, social, and emotional growth and development of your child. We will:

Check your child’s vision and hearing
Watch for any signs of developmental delay or disability
Offer recommendations appropriate to your child’s age on nutrition, fitness, safety and injury prevention, and other wellness topics
You’ll also have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about your child’s health – we’re happy to answer!

Well child visits will include specific vaccines and treatments recommended by the Centers for Disease and Prevention (CDC) and the American Academy of Pediatrics(AAP).
