Dr. Michael D. Shockley
Michael Shockley, MD, is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery and specializes in minimally invasive, laparoscopic, endoscopic, and robotic procedures. A Palm Beach County native, Dr. Shockley brings advanced training in general, foregut, and bariatric surgery back to his hometown community.
Dr. Michael Shockley returns to his hometown of Palm Beach County, bringing with him a wealth of experience and expertise in general, foregut, and bariatric surgery. After earning his Bachelor of Science from the University of Notre Dame, Dr. Shockley pursued his medical education at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, IL. He completed his general surgery training at the University of Central Florida/HCA Consortium of Greater Orlando, where he contributed to research in general and foregut surgery, hospital improvement projects, and residency program development. Following residency, Dr. Shockley specialized further in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery through a fellowship at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. He also completed the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery’s Surgical Technique and Advanced Robotics Training Program.
Dr. Shockley’s practice combines his extensive training with a focus on laparoscopic, endoscopic, and robotic surgery techniques to serve the local community with cutting-edge care in general and specialty surgery. He is also excited to return home and continue building his life with his wife, as they plan for a future in Wellington.
