About Us

Daytona Beach Women’s Center is comprised of Board Certified OB/GYN R. John Vagovic, MD, numerous Nurses, Medical Assistants, Receptionists, Surgery Schedulers, Billing Specialists, and a Practice Administrator.

RICHARD JOHN VAGOVIC, MD.

RICHARD JOHN VAGOVIC, MD Obstetrics & Gynecology Board Certified OB/GYN, Dr. John Vagovic, attended the University of Florida where he graduated with his Bachelor of Science - Biochemistry. He pursued additional training at the University of Florida in Immunology and Pharmacology before attending the University of Miami College of Medicine.

Obstetrics

Although gynecology and obstetrics are closely related, they cover different medical fields. While gynecology mostly treats women of all ages that have various health issues, obstetrics deals with pregnant women and their health conditions.

Gynecology

Gynecology is the field of medicine that deals extensively with female reproductive health. Unlike obstetrics that takes care of pregnant women, gynecology usually treats women who are not pregnant. Gynecology comprises examinations, tests, and procedures that involve the female reproductive organs – vagina, ovaries, uterus, as well as breasts.
