Meet Florangel Peña Garcia MSN, APRN-BC
Florangel Peña Garcia MSN, APRN-BC is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and internationally trained physician serving patients in South Florida. She brings more than two decades of clinical experience in general medicine, primary care, women’s health, gynecology, and reproductive endocrinology.
Ms. Peña Garcia specializes in comprehensive patient evaluation and the management of acute and chronic medical conditions, with particular expertise in women’s health, fertility medicine, metabolic care, and hormonal disorders. Her clinical background includes advanced experience in gynecologic endocrinology, cervical pathology, HPV management, infertility treatment, and menopause care. She is skilled in performing diagnostic evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, and integrating evidence-based medical therapies tailored to each patient’s needs.
She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from Universidad Central de Venezuela and completed advanced specialty training in Gynecology, Human Reproduction, and Gynecologic Endocrinology in Caracas, Venezuela. Her medical credentials were formally evaluated in the United States by Josef Silny & Associates, Inc.
After relocating to the United States, Ms. Peña Garcia obtained her Associate Degree in Nursing and later earned her Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner, from Miami Regional University. She is nationally certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and holds an active multistate Registered Nurse license. She also maintains certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association.
Throughout her career, Ms. Peña Garcia has served in diverse clinical settings including fertility centers, hospice care, home health, metabolic and weight management clinics, and primary care practices. Her work has included assisting in ovulation induction, IUI and IVF procedures, administering GLP-1 therapies, providing end-of-life care, and delivering comprehensive patient education focused on prevention, lifestyle modification, and long-term wellness.
She is recognized for her ability to blend deep medical knowledge with a compassionate and culturally sensitive approach to care. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Ms. Peña Garcia is dedicated to fostering trust, empowerment, and meaningful partnerships with her patients, ensuring that every individual receives attentive, evidence-based, and dignified medical care.
