Nurse Practitioner Clinical Rotations in Women’s Health
The Pelvic Laser Institute of Florida offers a structured outpatient clinical experience for Nurse Practitioner students seeking a women’s health preceptor.
Our clinical site provides hands-on exposure to a wide range of services, including:
- Obstetrics and prenatal care
- Gynecology and women’s wellness
- Pelvic health and bladder health treatment
- Hormone optimization and menopause management
- Preventive care and patient education
We serve a diverse patient population from early adolescence (approximately age 12) through post-menopausal years, offering a comprehensive women’s health learning experience.
Clinical Rotations for Nurse Practitioner Students
Our NP clinical rotations are designed to align with academic program requirements and provide real-world outpatient experience.
- Maximum of two Nurse Practitioner students accepted per semester
- Supervised clinical training in a women’s health setting
- Exposure based on student level and program requirements
Students interested in continuing their clinical training may be considered for extended placement based on performance and clinic availability.
Shadowing Opportunities in Women’s Health
We offer limited shadowing opportunities for students interested in women’s health clinical practice.
Shadowing provides:
- Observation of patient care
- Exposure to clinic workflow
- Insight into outpatient women’s health operations
Shadowing availability:
- One student at a time based on availability
- Scheduled periodically depending on clinic operations
Shadowing is observation only and does not include direct patient care participation.

To apply for a Nurse Practitioner clinical rotation or shadowing opportunity:

All applications are reviewed by our clinical team.
Selected applicants will be contacted to schedule an interview.
During the interview, required preceptor documentation will be completed.
Accepted students must sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) prior to beginning their rotation.
