Prenatal Diagnosis: Definitive Answers, Compassionate Care
Prenatal diagnosis brings together the tests and monitoring used to understand your baby’s health more fully. At our practice this includes amniocentesis as a diagnostic test, along with obstetric ultrasounds, fetal echocardiograms, non-stress tests, blood draws, and blood pressure checks. Many patients referred to us are low risk, while others come to us after a screening or ultrasound result elsewhere that needs a closer look.
When you need a fuller picture
Screening tests are excellent at flagging when something deserves a closer look. Sometimes, though, you need more detail or a definitive answer. That’s what prenatal diagnosis provides, and that clarity is often what allows the right plan to take shape.
What we offer
Our diagnostic test is amniocentesis, supported by a range of procedures that build a complete picture of your baby’s health and your own:
- Obstetric ultrasounds
- Fetal echocardiograms
- Non-stress tests
- Blood draws
- Blood pressure checks
Why patients are referred to us
Many of the patients referred to us for screening and diagnostic ultrasounds are low risk. We also care for patients who’ve received an ultrasound or screening result elsewhere that needs further evaluation. Other common reasons for referral include advanced maternal age, high blood pressure, diabetes, carrying more than one baby, and a previous pregnancy history that calls for closer attention.
How we guide families through difficult or uncertain news
This is where compassionate, specialized care matters most. We take the time to answer every question and explain findings in a way that’s both honest and understandable. We know unexpected news can be overwhelming, so we often give patients and their loved ones private time in the exam room to process and talk things through.
Depending on the situation, we may offer additional testing that can bring more answers or clarity. We also connect families with the right specialists, resources, and support services. Some care can be coordinated with specialists in the local area, while certain conditions may call for providers outside of Broward County. Either way, our goal is for you to feel informed, supported, and clear on the next steps.
Together, every step
A difficult or uncertain diagnosis is one of the hardest moments a family can face. With definitive answers, coordinated specialists, and steady support, it’s something we navigate together.

Had great experience, Dr.Romary and her staff is great. So courteous all are. Each appointment I looked forward too as they gave detailed information and answered all my questions on baby growth. I had gestational diabetes and with that too, Dr. Romary guided me well to manage it with diet. She followed up to make sure my sugars were in limits and it will not affect baby’s growth. Love this place!!
