About Jeanette Hernandez,

Jeanette Hernandez was born in Miami and is a first generation Cuban American. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Miami where she received her Bachelors degree of Science in Nursing in 2009. She then worked in the neonatal intensive care unit at Palmetto General Hospital for 6 years and while working fulltime, pursued a Masters degree in Nursing Science in Family Medicine at Barry University becoming an Advanced Practice Nurse.
After graduating and obtaining NCC board certification, she became committed to Women’s Health and joined the Department of Gynecologic Oncology at the University of Miami’s Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center where she practiced for three years. There she provided gynecologic and oncologic care to women throughout the lifespan focusing on abnormal gynecology and all gynecologic cancers. In addition, she was also responsible for ordering chemotherapy and managing all chemo patients.
In continued commitment to gynecologic oncology, she joined South Florida Gynecologic Oncology, LLC in 2019 where she continues to build on her scope of practice. She is fully bilingual.
