Allison Halstead, MD (Joining us in August 2020)

Dr. Halstead was born and raised in Miami, Florida and comes from a family originally from Trinidad and Tobago. She completed her residency at Bayfront Health in Saint Petersburg, Florida where she was recognized for her outstanding patient care and the exceptional relationships that she builds with her patients. Her special interests include obstetrics and minimally invasive surgery. She is certified in da Vinci’s robotic system and in the Fundamentals of Laparoscopy by the American Society of Surgeons.

Dr. Halstead has always been attracted to obstetrics and is honored to be a part of each woman’s journey to motherhood. She is drawn to difficult cases and comes to us with comprehensive experience providing for patients with complicated histories and high risk pregnancies. She is known by her peers and patients for her friendly and easy-going demeanor which allows her to thrive in this exhilarating and challenging field. In her spare time, Dr. Halstead enjoys cooking and traveling however, her favorite pastime is spending time at home with her husband and their adorable puppy. She is very excited to join the amazing team in caring for women at University Park Obstetrics and Gynecology.
