COVID-19: Vaccine update

As we enter into 2021, we are hopeful that vaccines will help to bring an end to this pandemic. All of our physicians have received the COVID-19 vaccine at the time of this post, thankfully with very minimal side effects.

We have received many questions from patients about the vaccine, particularly surrounding fertility, pregnancy, and breastfeeding. While further studies are needed, the data currently supports the safety of receiving the vaccine while trying to get pregnant and while breastfeeding. During pregnancy, this decision should be more individualized but depending on the risks for the individual woman, vaccination should be considered and not withheld. We are happy to discuss this at your appointment or call the office to discuss this further. Please also see the below resources for additional information.
